Founded in 2019, Scholars With Athletic/Artistic/Academic Goals (S.W.A.G.) has awarded over 20 honor roll scholars and reached more than 1,800 students through speaking engagements in the past three years. The organization has also expanded the Tuition Endowment for the Jada J. Smith Distinguished Student-Athlete Award, enhancing its impact on young women's academic and athletic success.

I am the 2023 SWAG award recipient, and my testimony is one of gratitude. I grew up with a single mother who worked tirelessly to provide for my brother and me, despite the struggles. When I won the SWAG award, Jada truly blessed my family—it felt like a gift from God. The award helped with my tuition and introduced me to a sisterhood where I truly belong. It was tough not knowing how we’d afford a good education, but thanks to Jada’s support, my mom made it work. I’m so grateful for my SWAG family!

My daughter, Nyla Coleman, is a 2020 recipient of the SWAG award. I’m ecstatic to know she received such a distinguished honor. Beyond the monetary gift, the mentorship and connections Jada and the SWAG organization provide are priceless. Jada has impacted countless young women, encouraging them to strive for greatness and speak proudly of their achievements in a safe environment. The true reward of the SWAG award is the meaningful bond each recipient forms with Jada as a mentor.
